Bhargavi Sarma has been with General Motors for 7 years. Prior to joining GM, she worked as a consultant for GM through EDS and HP for 12 years. In her previous role of Chief Architect for the OnStar division at GM, she led a team of 30+ solution architects and was responsible for the end to end architecture of highly available and mission critical software systems for OnStar. Bhargavi’s proudest professional accomplishment was being a key contributor to the successful launch of 4G WIFI in GM vehicles in 2014. In addition, she has been a key contributor to launching OnStar globally – China, MX and Europe regions.
She was recently promoted to GM Technical Fellow. In this new role, she is responsible for end to end systems architecture for connected vehicle programs globally.
Bhargavi holds a Master's Degree in Computer Science from Wayne State University. She is passionate about women in STEM and is an active member and volunteer with the Michigan Council of Women in Technology (MCWT).
