Eric Knipp is the Director of Systems Engineering for the Enterprise Central Area. He oversees all engineering efforts for 155 Fortune 500 accounts located throughout the Midwest and is responsible for delivering billions in revenue. In his current role, Eric is focused on delivering business outcomes and increasing customer satisfaction.
Previously, Eric was the Senior Systems Engineering Manager for the Michigan-Ohio Enterprise Operation. In his management role, he was responsible for team development, all engineering and architectural initiatives and customer satisfaction. In addition, he provided strategic guidance to senior level IT decision makers.
Throughout his 12 year tenure with Cisco, Eric has held numerous positions focused on engineering and architectural development. Prior to joining Cisco, Eric held held several industry roles with companies such as AT&T and Nortel where he focused on providing senior level architectural guidance to senior IT leadership on areas of network architecture, global telephony design and security posture.
Eric attained his MBA from Indiana University as well as Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert (CCIE) certification. In addition, Eric has also served as a contributing author to several publications focused on network design, security and unified communications. Eric is also a veteran speaker from the Cisco Live trade show where he currently holds the distinction of Distinguished Speaker.
Eric resides in Hudson, OH with his wife and teenage son. He enjoys many outdoor activities, exercise, and spending time with his family.
