Jerry Johnston Print

Jerry Johnston is a Senior Vice President in the Technology and Operations Group at Wells Fargo Bank where he leads technology delivery for the Corporate Properties Group, the Enterprise Technology Services, and the Technology Infrastructure Services business units.  He has led various efforts critical to the integration of Wells Fargo and Wachovia, and is currently focused on Security Technology initiatives and technology standards for Call Centers and Administrative sites in the Wells Fargo footprint. 

Previously, Mr. Johnston led the domestic technology infrastructure delivery and support organization for the Shared Services Lines of Businesses (Risk, Audit, Executive Support, Compliance, HR, Finance, Bank Operations such as Item Processing, ACH and Wires Transactions, Enterprise Data Warehousing).

In prior roles, Mr. Johnston was instrumental in leading Ameritrade to an industry leading trading platform as during the dot com era.  Ameritrade went from industry laggard to top platform in performance and availability which allows this Online Brokerage to become the industry leader with the $8 trade.  He led multiple areas including Enterprise Production Support, Middleware and J2EE Software Development, call center technologies, testing and quality assurance.

Mr. Johnston created the Strategic Technology Evaluation Platform for USF&G Insurance (now Travelers) leading USF&G to become the first Property and Casualty Insurance company to write policies on the Internet.
