Rich Strader is director, Enterprise & Emerging IT, effective February 1, 2015. In this role he is responsible for supporting and delivering IT services that enable Mobility, Connected Vehicle, the User Experience/Digital First and Analytics across the enterprise. His team is engaged in research, experimentation, delivery and a consistent integration of this work into the IT Operating Model.  Prior to this, Strader was director, Ford Technology Services of India (FTSI) Centre Head & AD Delivery Operations.  In these roles, he was responsible for all of the FTSI strategic initiatives, personnel development and application delivery for several portfolios. Strader was previously Ford’s Director of IT Strategy and Security, where his responsibilities included IT Strategy development, security policy, incident response, forensic analysis, IT Learning & Development, Executive Support and Organizational Change Management.  Prior to this role, he served as CIO at Volvo and also Senior Manager of Ford's In-Vehicle Systems team where his group delivered the security architecture, connected services and several features to the SYNC platform. Strader has also held positions in Order processing and Fulfillment, Finance Systems and Plant Floor Systems at Ford. Before joining Ford, Strader managed a small software consulting firm that delivered plant automation solutions to various OEMs. Strader holds a B.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan.  Outside of work, he enjoys playing soccer, scuba diving and spending time with his wife, Cindy, and his children, John, Erin and Mark.
