Richard A. Hook is the Chief Information Officer for Penske Corporation and Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Penske Automotive Group, Inc. (NYSE: PAG).  Penske Corporation is a closely-held, on-highway, diversified transportation services company whose subsidiaries operate in a variety of industry segments, including retail automotive, truck leasing, transportation logistics, transportation component manufacturing and professional motorsports.  Penske Corporation manages businesses with revenues of $23 billion, and employing more than 50,000 people worldwide. 

Rich has over 20 years’ experience in information technology, infrastructure, business process, security and compliance.  Prior to being named CIO of Penske Corporation and PAG, Rich was the VP of IT Infrastructure for Penske Automotive Group, responsible for infrastructure, IT operations, service desk, field support and IT security.  Before joining Penske, he was with Federal-Mogul Corporation, a leading global supplier to the original equipment manufacturers and worldwide aftermarket.  Rich was with Federal-Mogul for almost 8 years in various roles with increasing responsibility ranging from Information Assurance, Project Management and Infrastructure. 

Rich was also an Information Security Manager for a financial services firm and a Manager in a consulting practice at Arthur Andersen LLP based in Detroit, Michigan.  He holds a BBA from Western Michigan University and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).  Rich is a member of the Society for Information Management (SIM) Advance Practices Council, Information Systems Security Association (ISSA), Governing Body Chair for the Detroit CIO Executive Summit, Executive Steering Council member for the Detroit SecureWorld Expo conference and a multi-year IT Executive Mentor in the We Build Character (WBC) not-for-profit organization.
